A Decolonial Strategy to Reconstruct Student-Management Relationships in a University System

Despite the contributions of university education to nation-building, potential Nigeria’s system fulfil its responsibilities is frequently obstructed by crises. Among prominent crises, according observations and literature, are those linked student-management dichotomies, which make it practically impossible for universities actualise their aims. This study framed theory decoloniality, aimed formulate a strategy enhance management crises involving students authorities. Participatory Action Research was adopted as research design. Focus group discussion used collect data. Ten participants that acted co-researchers, from Nigeria, representing staff, lecturers, security personnel student union leaders, both past present. The were selected using expert sampling technique. Socio-thematic analysis analyse revealed lack modern communication, poor dialogue mechanisms, students’ non-involvement in decision-making major propellers dichotomies system. recommends solutions, among mobile/electronic application designed decolonise old ways managing system.
